Deconstruct shelf

The deconstruction series seeks to convey the concepts of freedom, protection, and strength. Fragments are randomly open, extending without constraints, bringing a sense of security through mutual inclusiveness and interdependence. The exterior is a stacking of architectural basic units, expressing power and freedom. Each piece in the deconstruction series is conceived as a miniature architectural unit.
This series of works originates from contemplation on irregular fragmented materials. When the required perfect shape is cut out from a metal sheet, the remaining material loses its meaning to the product. How can we optimize the utilization of materials? Through experimentation, we randomly cut the entire metal sheet into irregular fragments and manually reassembled them to maximize material utilization, while expressing a unique design language through the work. By manual stitching and rivet repairs, the particular production process makes full use of all irregular materials and gives the work uniqueness.
